Number of transactions alone means nothing, the real metric is how valuable and productive those transactions are. @arbitrum just crossed 2 billion transactions, but the real question is: how valuable are they? Last month, Arbitrum recorded 88M transactions with an average transaction value of 0.034 ETH (~$135). Over the past 12 months, the average transaction size is 0.066 ETH (~$260), showing that these aren’t empty interactions or airdrop spam, but real value transfers with meaningful on-chain liquidity flow. Even the average gas used tells a similar thing, around 0.027 ETH (~$100) per transaction over the last year. Higher gas consumption means each transaction triggers deeper on-chain state changes (complex smart-contract calls, multi-step DeFi operations, etc.), proving that most Arbitrum activity comes from productive financial execution. In short, Arbitrum’s activity is economically dense, reflecting a network where transactions truly move value across the ecosystem.
