Yield from both STX stacking (staking) and boosted sBTC yield are paid out in BTC
- Current base yield on sBTC is 0.5% APY
- While by staking only 1-2% of the value of your sBTC in STX you can boost your APY to 2%
- By max stacking STX, yield can be boosted up to 6% APY
- And you can boost the sBTC yield even further by using it in DeFi on Stacks
Yield is paid out by BTC earned from the Stack PoX consensus mechanism, where miners bid BTC to win blocks, and the BTC is distributed to STX stackers and sBTC holders
