Exploring how ERC-8004 could intersect with EigenCloud’s roadmap. Initial thoughts by @soubhik_deb đŸŒ©ïžâ†“

Been thinking about ERC-8004 and how products being built within and on top of EigenCloud could integrate with it. Some notes ---------------------------- ERC-8004 is an open @ethereum standard for building public dashboards for discovering agents: identity, reputation and validation. ---------------------------- With identity registry, any agent can register an onchain identity. They can also advertise their capabilities + endpoints by linking to an offchain registration file. I was curious how this differs from AgentCard in A2A, turns out the AgentCard itself can be referenced here. Btw, ERC-8004 is general enough to integrate ENS, MCP server IDs and other identity systems. From @eigenlayer perspective, if we extend long-term storage in @eigen_da, it’d be powerful to allow these registration files to live there. Imagine storing and resolving agent metadata directly from EigenDA blobs. ---------------------------- Reputation registry is where every agent’s reputation gets catalogued. Each merchant agent can approve a buyer or another agent to give feedback after a transaction. That feedback can include rich offchain data, which is referenced back in the registry. Important note here is that ERC-8004 doesn’t solve malicious feedback. It leaves aggregation and filtering to third-party systems. But it standardizes the schema by how third-party reputational systems can read the feedbacks from the registry. Personally, I believe @openranknetwork can play a pivotal role here by becoming the verifiable reputation aggregator for the entire agentic ecosystem. Users, protocols, or copilots could query OpenRank for aggregated, trust-weighted scores. ---------------------------- Validation registry is where agents can request validation of their work from validator networks. For EigenCloud, this ties beautifully with the roadmap: > cryptoeconomic agents could post validation requests, > EigenVerify validators re-execute the computation, > offchain data lives on EigenDA, referenced in the requestUri. ---------------------------- These are just some early thoughts, but I am seeing a strong synergy.
