when a payment mandate is embedded inside an x402 call, paying becomes part of the transaction — no longer an external act.

x402 Protocol – an open HTTP-based payment standard that allows services to monetize APIs via microtransactions.
With x402, a web service can respond to a request with 402 Payment Required and include details like the price (in crypto), acceptable tokens, e.g. @USDC, and a payment address or invoice.
